According to a press conference held on June 5, the 2nd Qin Cultural Tourism Festival will take place in Lingqu Canal Scenic Spot of Xing'an county, Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from mid-June to mid-September.

This year's festival will last for 100 days. Cultural tourism experts from home and abroad, Qin culture experts, big names in Shaanxi province and Gansu province in history, culture, as well as the B&B and tourism industries will join dignitaries of world cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage industries at the scenic spot. Qin cultural tourism wonders such as the Qin Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Zhengguo Canal Irrigation System, and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System will also be able to be seen then.

Built during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), the Lingqu Canal connects the upper reaches of a Yangtze River branch and the Lijiang River. It is a water transport route and an irrigation project, which turned Xing'an into an agriculturally developed area. It is one of the most important historical relics of Qin culture.

In 1982, the Lingqu Canal was identified as an important historical monument under special preservation by the State Council. It entered the United Nations World Heritage Protection Preparatory List of UNESCO in 2014, and was included in the World Irrigation Project Heritage List in August 2018.

A leader of the Lingqu Canal Scenic Spot said that the festival will be a cultural feast showcasing the rich historical and cultural heritage of Xing'an county. It will hold 10 cultural events in total, including an art show, a documentary broadcast, a Qin culture forum, a World Heritage site alliance, a short video contest, a cosplay contest, a riding competition, a folk song contest, a painting and calligraphy competition, and a Chinese ancient music competition.
