Xi'an Baoneng New Energy Automobile Industrial Park Project under full construction

A new energy automobile industrial park project with total investment of 40 billion yuan ($5.79 billion) is under full construction in Qinhan New Town in Xixian New Area, a State-level development zone in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.

The first new energy vehicle is scheduled to be produced by the end of the coming December.
The project was launched in March, 2018, and plans are to produce 1 million new energy vehicles (500,000 of them in the first phase) and supporting projects.

The production value of the whole vehicle and spare parts will exceed 100 billion yuan. This is the major layout of Baoneng's new energy automobile industry and the first 100 billion-grade industrial project in Xixian New Area.

The project when completed is expected to promote the employment of 35,000 people in the whole industrial chain, and the development of regional automobile sales, automobile finance, automobile aftermarkets and other ancillary services.

Baoneng New Energy Vehicle Production Base in Xixian New Area will carry out intelligent R&D and manufacturing of vehicle and core components. Construction includes stamping, welding, painting, assembly of four major process workshops, a new energy three-power process workshop, a core parts production workshop and synchronized construction of parts and components in the industry park to achieve multi-vehicle co-production.

The project adopts recyclable green, environmental protection and energy-saving materials, actively promotes new technologies, new materials and new technologies, and creates high-quality automotive products.

The Baoneng Automobile Innovation Research Institute will be built synchronously with the production base, and will become the research and development headquarters of Baoneng Automobile in the north. With the research and development of new energy vehicles as the core, the research and integration of industrial technology application will be carried out around the direction of vehicle and three-power system.

The project constructed by Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group Corporation Limited will help Shaanxi province to build an industrial pillar of 3 million automobiles and push Xi'an’s automobile industry into the "100 billion scale", creating an important national automobile science and technology innovation center and new energy automobile capital.
