Yehenara City is located in the south of Siping, Jilin province, only 30 kilometers away from Siping city. Yehenara City has a long history and was called "Yehe State" in ancient times.

It is an important place for the origin of the Manchu and the birthplace of Emperor Abahai's mother during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It was also the ancestral home of Empress Dowager Cixi and Empress Dowager Longyu. Thus it is well-known as the "hometown of three generations of queens".

The current Yehenara City was reconstructed in 1994, taking up a land area of 10,000 square meters and a building area of 7,000 sq m. The overall building is of an antique style and owns ethnic flavor. The site of the two ancient cities in the east and west of Yehenara City are provincial cultural relic protection units. It is 30 kilometers away from Siping city Railway Station.
