南京梅花山 (nán jīng méi huā shān)
Nanjing Plum Blossom Mountain, located in the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum scenic area on the southern side of Purple Mountain, is among the country’s first batch of 5A scenic areas.
Known as the “best plum blossom mountain in China”, Nanjing Plum Blossom Mountain attracts many visitors from home and abroad to admire the charm of plum blossoms in early spring.
The scenic area covers more than 102 hectares of plum blossoms on about 400 kinds of plum trees.
The scenic area is also the main venue for the International Plum Blossom Festival of Nanjing, which has been organized by Nanjing people’s government since 1996. The event is mainly held from February to March, when plum blossoms are in full bloom.
During the event, tourists can enjoy the blossoms and local cuisine, visit art exhibitions, and participate in relevant online and offline activities.
