Qomolangma tourism festival’s Jilin Week kicks off

The 17th Qomolangma cultural tourism festival's Jilin Week, opened in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, on May 28.

Qomolangma, also known as Mount Everest in the West, is the highest peak in the world, which lies on the border of China and Nepal.

The cultural tourism festival is being jointly hosted by Shigatse city in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region and Jilin province, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China and deepen exchanges between two places.

The main activities will be held in Shigatse city from June 18-24, and Jilin Week will run from May 28 to June 2 in Changchun and Yanji city.

Activities in Jilin province will include Shigatse tourism promotion meetings, art performances, and photography and painting exhibitions.
