KPMG, a world renowned accounting firm, opened a Hainan branch in Haikou on May 28.

The company signed an investment cooperation agreement with the Hainan Provincial People's Government last year. Since then, it has strived to offer professional advice in Hainan's political and commercial circles to jointly explore development paths of the China (Hainan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and a free trade port with Chinese characteristics.

Its settlement will help enhance Haikou's international business environment and provide high quality efficient services for enterprises in Hainan.

Liao Zibin, chairman of KPMG China, said at the opening ceremony that Hainan is now offering a series of bonus policies to invite investment and for enterprises to settle there. KPMG is confident in the opportunities brought by Hainan's developing a free trade zone, a free trade port, a national ecological civilization pilot zone, and an international tourism consumption center.

KPMG is ranked as a world's top four accounting firm, along with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, PwC, and Ernst & Young. It possesses 207,000 professionals in branches covering 153 countries and regions, offering high quality services in audits, taxes, and financial advice. It has set up 21 agencies in 19 Chinese cities and regions.
