Delegations of TCM experts have been sent to over 10 countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Peru, Argentina and Brazil, carrying out more than 40 health inquiries for approximately 2,000 people.

It is expected that the three-year action plan will contribute to expand the breadth and depth of serving overseas Chinese. The number of overseas TCM institutions cooperating with the base at JSHTCM will soon surpass 100, with 30 that meet certain requirements in 30 countries to be selected as overseas bases.

In addition, more than 5,000 TCM practitioners will be cultivated to improve their ability and over 30,000 overseas Chinese will be trained with basic TCM knowledge in healthcare and medication.

A 5G technology display was held during the event, allowing experts from the hospital to conduct online consultations with professionals at Curtin University, Australia, on an Australian patient with brain cancer. The data traveled between the two countries in milliseconds.

Ten major jobs are listed in the three-year action plan.

1. Casting eyes on the global development strategy of TCM. More bases benefiting overseas Chinese with TCM will be established overseas.

2. Promoting TCM globally. Events such as organizing more delegations of TCM experts to travel abroad and give major charity clinics, lectures and training will be held more frequently. Foreign TCM practitioners will be invited to China to attend training to improve their level of diagnosis and treatment.

3. Hiring 50 TCM experts and academicians in five groups to offer both online and offline medical service and training, negotiating diagnosis and treatment procedures and management methods with all parties.

4. Improving green channel services for overseas Chinese in offline registration, treatment and taking medicine. It is expected that co-branded cards will be launched with banks to connect electronic cash IC debit cards with online outpatient services.

5. Giving full play to Jiangsu's base for benefiting overseas Chinese with TCM and making full use of organizational resources and advantages of organizations at all levels and related departments.

6. Taking advice from overseas Chinese and people from different walks of life to better support the development of TCM.

7. Striving for support in areas such as policy to solidify partnerships and expand cooperation areas.

8. Making full use of media resource to showcase the latest achievements of Jiangsu's base in promoting TCM culture and carrying out international cooperation.

9. Organizing various kinds of activities such as overseas Chinese youth summer camps, Jiangsu culture week and photo exhibitions to display TCM's charm.

10. Integrating internet technology in TCM development, carrying out different new models such as online outpatient services, international remote medical services, and remote education to seek innovations in international TCM communications.
