Fuzhou Pulmonary Hospital of Fujian

Fuzhou Pulmonary Hospital of Fujian, set up in 1952, is a modern 3A-grade specialized hospital offering medical treatment, disease prevention, scientific research and medical training. It is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases and difficult and critical respiratory diseases.

The hospital covers a total area of more than 180 mu (12 hectares) and owns a building area of over 70,000 square meters.

The hospital enjoys beautiful environment as the green area of the hospital accounts for 60 percent of its total area.

Currently the hospital opens 570 beds. The annual patient number of outpatient departments and emergency departments reaches about 400,000 and the annual number of patients discharged amounts to 15,000.

It has employed 639 staff members with 166 of them holding senior titles. The hospital has nine clinical departments along with 14 medical laboratories.

The total equipment assets of the hospital have reached 200 million yuan ($28.93 million), including advanced facilities such as dual source spiral CT, lung function detector, automatic mycobacteria rapid culture instrument, electronic tracheoscope, tumor hyperthermia machine, noninvasive ventilator and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation system.

It has a six-floor negative pressure wards building of an area of 11,000 sq m, capable of preventing and controlling severe respiratory infectious diseases. The operation rooms in the hospital are equipped with laminar air purification equipment which applies to the standard of conducting advanced lung surgery.
