2019 Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Innovation Competition nears

The Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park held a press briefing on the 2019 Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Innovation Competition in Beijing on May 21.

At the meeting, Liu Hang, deputy inspector of the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, introduced the overall situation of the Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Innovation Competition.

Xu Jian, director of the Zhongguancun High-tech Industry Promotion Center, introduced the highlights and services of the 2019 edition of the event.

The official announcement of the competition, first held in 2017, was made on May 20. This year's hard & core science and technology competition, with the theme of focusing on cutting-edge technologies and promoting high-quality development, covers 10 cutting-edge fields such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, medicine and health, intelligent manufacturing and new materials, smart cities and the Internet of Things, energy conservation & environmental protection and new energy, big data and cloud computing, financial technology and information security, and sports and agricultural technologies.

Enterprises and teams at home and abroad can enter the competition. Following the principles of fairness, openness and impartiality, the competition, designed to be high-end, professional, young and international, includes six stages: project application, qualification examination, preliminary competition in various fields, final competition, and awards and benefits presentation.

The winning projects of the competition will receive five benefits: first, they will be granted financial support; second, they will have priority in investment; third, the 16th Sub-park of Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone and its subordinate district government will interface with the winning projects and provide project landing services; fourth, diversified communication and exchanges will be arranged for them, and fifth, they will be publicized and reported through all media channels to expand their influence.

The Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Innovation Competition has become a platform on which the Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone can display frontier science and technology and a cutting-edge ecological service system.
