Jinzhong marathon attracts hordes of runners

Over 10,000 runners took part in the 1st Jinzhong International Marathon in Jinzhong city, Shanxi province, on May 19.
The event consisted of a full marathon, half marathon, and mini marathon, and the route passed through Longcheng Block, a university cluster, and Xiaohe Industrial Park.
Athletes from Kenya took first in the men's and women's full marathon.
Rescue teams such as Blue Sky Rescue and the local Red Cross helped ensure safety during the event.
A series of cultural events, such as a marathon-themed photography activity, a poem competition, and a forum were held to promote the marathon.
