Sci-tech association to cooperate with Baogang Group

The Science and Technology Association of Inner Mongolia signed a cooperation agreement with Baogang Group on May 16, according to Baotou Daily.

The agreement stipulates that the Science and Technology Association of Inner Mongolia will take full advantage of its scientific research prowess, technological resources, and talent.

According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly carry out an IPR capacity enhancement project, promote the application and development of scientific and technological information, and cultivate talents for the application and development of intellectual property.

The two sides will organize competitions for developing enterprise innovation techniques and support the construction of the Baogang Science and Technology Transformation Service Platform to promote the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

In terms of technical and personnel training, science and technology project services, and scientific and technological transformation, the industry-university-research cooperation platform will help Baogang Group develop creatively and promote the implementation of an innovation-driven development strategy and the high-quality development of the autonomous region's economy.

Established in 1954, Baogang Group is based in Baotou and is the largest steel company based in Inner Mongolia autonomous region. It is one of the oldest iron and steel industrial centers in China, and has a large production center in the city. It is also the country’s largest scientific research and production center for rare earth metals.
