Shaanxi Aviation Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in August 2004 with the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission, the first national-level industrial base for advanced technologies in aviation.
The zone shoulders the historical mission of combining China’s aviation industry with the development of the local economy.
Its pillar industries include airframe manufacturing, aircraft design, reliability trial and flight identification. Other supporting industries cover airborne systems, aviation equipment, aviation new materials, aviation parts processing, sub-contract production, manufacturing of special equipment, aviation maintenance, aviation educational training and navigation operation.
By 2025, the zone will be a global center for the procurement and supply of aviation products as well as a center for training aviation professionals and offering aviation technical services.
