Guangxi Medical University

As one of the 22 earliest medical colleges in the country, the university is associated with Guangxi's key universities, and is a center for medical education and research, disease prevention, healthcare and clinical medicine.

Headquartered in Nanning's Qingxiu district, it has a complete education and training system for undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral and postdoctoral students. There are 27 undergraduate specialties, including five national construction sites of characteristic specialty authorized by the Ministry of Education.

Supported by 1,840 full-time teachers, including 555 with high professional titles, 178 doctoral supervisors and 690 master supervisors, the university has won 174 awards at national and regional levels.

Currently, the university has 25,655 full-time students, including 11,144 undergraduates, 3693 postgraduates, 345 doctoral students and 844 foreign students.

The university has actively promoted international communication and cooperation since 1980s, and sent more than 5,000 outstanding teachers and researchers to some 50 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Australia to study and carry out academic exchanges. Meanwhile, it has received over 6,000 experts and scholars from 40 countries and regions to visit and give lectures.
