Guangxi University of Science and Technology

Guangxi University of Science and Technology, founded in 1958 and recombined in April 2013, is located in Liuzhou, the autonomous region's industrial base, transport junction, and trade and logistics center.

Under the management of the regional government, the university has three campuses, and occupies a floor space of nearly 270 hectares, with 20 secondary departments and 19 research institutes.

By July 2018, the university had 79 undergraduate majors covering nine discipline fields for 27,000 full-time students: engineering, management, science, medicine, economics, literature, law, art, and pedagogy. It has three national construction sites of characteristic specialty authorized by the Ministry of Education, and nine college key disciplines at regional level.

There are more than 1,800 teachers working at the university and some of them are national or provincial-level outstanding professionals, including experts who enjoy the government special allowance awarded by the State Council, and "bagui academicians", the highest-level experts in Guangxi. Supported by these distinguished teachers, the university has conducted more than 1,600 scientific research projects, of which 22 were awarded sci-tech achievement awards at or above ministerial and provincial level, and over 990 were authorized national patents over the past five years.
The university pays much attention to international exchanges and communication, and has co-founded two undergraduate projects with Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland and Southern Cross University in Australia. So far, it has established partnerships with 39 universities and colleges from 13 countries, including the United States, Germany and France.
