Guangxi University

Founded in Nanning in 1928, Guangxi University is the oldest and largest comprehensive university in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with 98 undergraduate specialties covering 11 disciplines fields, including philosophy, economics, law, pedagogy, literature, agronomy and medicine.

Occupying a floor area of 1,440 hectares, the university currently has 3,662 in-service teachers, 26,768 full-time undergraduates, 8,050 postgraduates, and 2,050 students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas countries and regions.

Focusing on talent introduction, the university hosts members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professors and lecturers introduced under the Changjiang Scholars Program, prominent State-level experts and industry contributors, as well as 19 foreign professors and experts and 33 experts who enjoy the government special allowance awarded by the State Council.

Over nine decades of development, the university has achieved remarkable success. The national key laboratory was set up and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and won second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Moreover, it has increased international exchanges and expanded its partnerships with foreign universities, and established programs with the United States and France.
