Nanjing to host entrepreneurship competition for overseas students

Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, will host an innovation and entrepreneurship competition for overseas students studying at Chinese colleges and universities.

Organized by the Nanjing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the event will provide a platform for foreign students, especially those from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, who want to start businesses in China.

The students can participate on their own or team up with at most two international partners (instructors are excluded).

Online registration is available on http://www.bgcy.top/en/ until May 15, a review stage and a players' training session will then follow, before the final stage with 30 candidates on June 29.

The event will offer generous bonuses to the winners, with each of the 10 third prize winners claiming 6,000 yuan ($873.5), seven second prize winners getting 10,000 yuan, and the three top prize winners 20,000 yuan. The winning programs in Nanjing will get extra support that is in line with related policies from the local government.
