Yancheng City No 1 People’s Hospital

Yancheng City No 1 People’s Hospital, also known as the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, was set up in 1948 and has developed into a national 3A-grade hospital offering medical treatment, training, scientific research, rehabilitation and first aid.

The hospital has three campuses, serving over 8.3 million people in nine counties and districts of the Yangcheng area.

The hospital covers 207,300 square meters with a building area of 366,400 sq m, and has 3,100 patient beds. Currently the hospital employs over 3,100 staff members, 11 of them are professors or vice-professors.

It has set up 34 clinical departments, 23 medical laboratories, 103 nursing units and 24 functional departments. Thirteen departments are listed as provincial key clinical departments and 30 are municipal key clinical specialties.

Yancheng’s medical centers, such as the emergency center, clinical laboratory center, diabetes center, cardiac intervention center and minimally invasive center, are also situated at Yancheng City No 1 People’s Hospital.

The hospital has about 4,000 sets of advanced medical equipment each worth over 10,000 yuan ($1465) such as a PET-CT, five MRIs, eight high-end CTs, three high-energy linear accelerators and two SPECTs. The hospital is also equipped with a world-leading German rail logistics system and the only Beckman lab automated pipeline system in Yancheng.

Aiming to provide better medical service for patients, the hospital has been cooperating with prestigious hospitals such as the Sixth Medical Center for PLA General Hospital.
