Xuzhou Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital, set up in 1957, is a 3A-grade hospital integrating medical treatment, healthcare, training and scientific research.
Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University, the hospital has been listed in top 30 in China among all maternity and child healthcare hospitals in cities at prefecture level.
It covers 16,368 square meters and the structure area is 44,800 sq m.
The hospital has 718 beds and the annual number of patients in outpatient departments has reached about 1 million, and the annual number of discharged patients was 37,000. Over 300,000 infants have been born in the hospital since its foundation.
The hospital has 64 departments, 22 first-level and 42 second-level. Currently the hospital employs 988 staff members and 195 of those have senior titles.
The construction of a new campus for the hospital has been approved by Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government. It will cover 11.1 hectares and provide 1,200 beds. Construction is expected to start in 2019 and finish in 2021.
