184 top minds vie for tickets to intl memory open

The 2019 International Memory Open City Qualification Competition is held in Nanning on April 27. [gx.people.cn]

The 2019 International Memory Open City Qualification Competition took place in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on April 27, with 184 top minds pitting their skills against each other.

Chen Zilong, Tang Mingzhu and Wang Liying were crowned champions in the speed number memory, random Chinese characters, and the elder's categories respectively. They will compete in the 2019 International Memory Open in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, this August on behalf of China.

Wu Di, chief referee of the competition, pointed out that everyone has enormous potential in their brain. The competitors of the event are not geniuses but instead develop their memory skills and get to the top through scientific training.
