Zhuhai impresses at Macao travel expo

The abundance, vitality, and rich nature of Zhuhai tourism resources were promoted at the 7th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo in Macao from April 26 to 28 by a delegation of over 70 major Zhuhai tourism enterprises.

It was the seventh year for Zhuhai to participate in the Macao expo with a record scale. The Zhuhai Pavilion, covering nearly 300 sq m (359 sq yd), consisted of two exhibition areas: "Zhuhai Tourism Thematic Pavilion" and "Zhuhai Specialty Street."

The design of the pavilion blended signature Zhuhai tourism elements including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB), the Zhuhai Fisher Maiden Statue, Zhuhai Opera House, and Zhuhai Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort.

Companies like China Travel Service Gongbei Port Guangdong Co Ltd, China Southern Airlines Zhuhai, and Jiuzhou Navigation Culture Co Ltd showcased their B&B, intangible culture, creative design, and gourmet products there.

LETS Cultural District was among 27 Xiangzhou enterprises and promoted its Chu Chu Bang Wonderland of Trains. The 400-sq-m (478-sq-yd) museum, which is now in trial operation, houses more than 1,000 miniature trains from over 30 countries.

In addition, the 2019 Zhuhai all-for-one tourism hand-held map and travel guide was released by the Zhuhai Tourism Development Center at the expo. Twenty-two travel routes are recommended with themes around coastal sightseeing, an HZMB tour, theme parks, health-oriented hot springs, Southern Guangdong old post roads, red education, history, countryside leisure, popular science, and culinary delicacies.

The expo was sponsored by the Macao Government Tourist Office with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
