Zhenjiang First People’s Hospital

Zhenjiang First People’s Hospital, a hospital affiliated to Jiangsu University, was established in 1922.

It is a 3A-grade comprehensive healthcare provider offering medical treatment and training, as well as conducting scientific research. It is the designated hospital in Zhenjiang for Taiwan residents and foreign patients.

With two campuses, the hospital now employs 2,161 staff members and 471 of them hold senior titles. It offers a total of 1,625 beds and around 1.4 million people pass through its outpatient and emergency departments each year, with the hospital discharging more than 70,000 people annually.

And with the aim of offering greater convenience to patients, the hospital also has 850 parking spaces underground.

In recent years, the hospital has devoted greater efforts to improving medical facilities, purchasing over 1,000 items of advanced medical equipment each worth over 10,000 yuan ($1458.98), including CT scanners, nuclear magnetic resonance detectors, medical linear accelerators, digital subtraction angiography equipment, and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

Currently, the hospital has eight provincial key specialties and 10 municipal key specialties. In addition, it is able to conduct various kinds of surgery such as an aortic replacement, heart bypass, organ transplant, and brain stem tumor excision.
