Nanning, Zhongguancun join forces to drive innovation

A conference discussing innovation cooperation between Nanning and Zhongguancun was held in Nanning, the capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on April 20.

Held in Nanning Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstration Base, the event resulted in 20 innovative enterprises agreeing to set up shop in the demonstration base, including Guangxi Didi Chuxing, Beijing's BIO Biology, and Guoqian Technology Co, the leading domestic 3D printing enterprise in China.

With its vast market, Nanning boasts regional advantages and a business-friendly environment, encouraging Guoqian Technology to expand into overseas markets, according to Zong Guisheng, chairman of the company.

He also stated that the company's Nanning project will be divided into two phases –– 3D printing and a smart manufacturing center, and a 3D printing production base for rehabilitation therapy, with the aim of developing a leading 3D printing medical rehabilitation service network in China.

Focusing on the research and development of new drugs for the phage virus, Qingdao's No-Antibiotics Bio-technology Company is expected to fully exploit the agglomeration advantage of Nanning and Zhongguancun in order to explore the Guangdong and Guangxi markets, as well as opportunities in Southeast Asia.

At the conference, Beijing National Technology Transfer Center - Nanning Zhongguancun Scientific and Technological Information Service Platform was unveiled, meaning Nanning and Zhongguancun will further strengthen cooperation to boost their economies and build industries for the future.
