Sanya Haichang Fantasy Town is situated in Haitang Bay near a number of luxury hotels. It is open 24 hours a day and is a marine-themed vacation spot that allows tourists to design their own trip.

As an ocean park, the fantasy town celebrates the cultures of countries along the Maritime Silk Road, through things like African music, domes from the Persian Gulf, and spices and delicacies from the Bay of Bengal.

Tourists can interact with breeders face-to-face and witness marine animals up close at the Galety Theatre.

The town's catchphrase is "Perfect Vacation" and it is aimed at providing a year-round tourism destination in Sanya. It consists of eight themed areas: Haitang Bay, the African Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Bay of Bengal, the Java Sea, South China, the Waterside Hallway and the Fantasy Ocean Theater. The variety of themes helps create a global atmosphere and makes the park a landmark in world-class entertainment.

The offshore Ferris wheel known as "the Eye of Sanya" is one of the park's most popular attractions.
