Free stays offered to selected transit passengers

Hohhot Baita International Airport started offering free accommodation to selected transit passengers from April 13, with the aim of helping to cut the travel costs for travelers.

Passengers traveling by airlines including Air China, Tianjin Airlines, China Express, China Southern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and China United Airlines can use the free accommodation service when they depart Hohhot before 09:00 am and land at the city after 21:00 pm. 

Travelers transiting to cities and leagues within Inner Mongolia and those journeying to Beijing cannot enjoy the offer.

Officials said passengers should double check with the airport to ensure that they meet the rules and guidelines in place to qualify for a free transit hotel.
