Founded in 1988, Shenzhen Bao'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is a national 3A-grade hospital integrating medical treatment, preventative care, health care, teaching and scientific research.
The hospital has 400 open beds, 22 clinical departments, 10 medical technology departments and 6 community health service centers. It has one national key clinical discipline, one provincially famous Chinese medicine department, three provincial-level TCM key specialties, one provincial-level TCM key specialist construction unit, and five municipal-level TCM specialties.
The hospital has 833 employees, including one post-doctor, 16 doctors, 105 master’s holders, four provincial-level Chinese medicine practitioners, 138 senior titles, and 10 master's tutors. Since 2006, the hospital has presided over 139 scientific research projects at various levels, and has won provincial-level scientific and technological progress awards, as well as the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Medicine Association, many times.
