Founded in 1976, Maoming Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a large comprehensive 3A-grade Chinese medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care and rehabilitation.
The hospital has a building area of about 60,000 square meters, with 1,200 open beds. In 2017, the hospital had 529,190 outpatient visits, 48,732 inpatient visits, 48,594 discharges, and 17,451 surgeries. The hospital saved 675 critical patients in ICU, and served 203,534 people using Chinese medicine.
The hospital has 1,193 employees, including 1,004 professional and technical personnel. It has established 16 functional departments and two secondary functional departments.
In addition, it has set up 28 clinical departments and 12 medical technology departments. It has three clinics, two branches and one affiliated hospital. It also has the only national key specialty facilities in Maoming for obstetrics and gynecology.
