Hongta Group Changchun Cigarette Factory was firstly built in 1933, and joined the Hongta Group in August 1998, approved by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration. 

Changchun cigarette factory currently has 1,055 staffs and mainly produces cigarette brands such as "Changbai Mountain", "Hongta Mountain", as well as "ginseng", which has been exported to the United States for 20 consecutive years as a famous cigarette brand.

A new plant covering an area of 22 hectares (330 mu) with a total investment of 1.28 billion yuan ($190.5 million), started construction in August 2008, and was completed and put into operation on September 2010.
