Sudirman Cup tickets on sale

Tickets for the 2019 Total BWF Sudirman Cup went on sale on April 10, with the prices ranging from 50 yuan to 2,500 yuan ($7 to $372).

This year, a total of 31 teams will take part in the biannual world mixed team badminton championship in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from May 19 to 26. However, only 12 of them are qualified to compete for the Sudirman Cup.

Group A features Japan, Thailand, and Russia. Indonesia, Denmark, and England are in Group B, and Chinese Taipei, South Korea, and Hong Kong round out Group C. China will face Malaysia and India in a tough Group D. The first two teams in each group will proceed to the quarterfinals.

The biggest highlight may lie in whether there will be a 41st head-to-head between Chinese veteran Lin Dan and his long-time Malaysian rival Lee Chong Wei, and whether China, a 10-time winner of event, can lift the Sudirman Cup once again.
