Wuhan International Horse Racing Festival
The Wuhan International Horse Racing Festival was first held in 2003 and has become an indicator of China’s highest level of horse racing, while also serving as a grand festival of top jockeys and good horses from home and abroad. It is held at the Wuhan Orient Horse City International Racecourse, which is recognized as the first international standard racecourse in central China, as well as one of China’s three regular-season platforms.
It is also known as the first regular thoroughbred horse race in China with horse owners as participants. This horse racing festival calls together horses and elite horse owners of jockey clubs from home and abroad, as well as invites elite jockeys from the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Brazil, Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand to compete in races.
