United Kingdom (UK) residents recently had an opportunity to admire the scenery, intangible cultural heritages, food, and ethnic culture of southwest China's Guizhou province, following a promotion activity of Guizhou's culture and tourism that was held in London on April 1.

It is the second time that a Guizhou delegation brought such activities to the UK. Over the past few years, Guizhou has strived to go global and gain attention with its abundant tourism resources and multicultural society, said Chen Wen, minister of the Embassy of China in the UK.

Artists from Guizhou performed traditional songs, as well as showed off instruments, and the manufacturing methods of intangible cultural heritages during the activity, giving local UK residents a chance to learn more about "colorful Guizhou."

As one of Guizhou's inbound tourism markets, people in the UK have shown great curiosity to Chinese culture and are keen for more activities of this kind to enhance the communication between the two countries, said one of the UK guests at the event.
