Haikou Meilan International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Hainan province. The airport covers an area of 1,140 hectares 25 kilometers southeast of downtown Sanya. Meilan Airport was the first to set up an offshore island duty-free shop in China, offering 38 different kinds of duty-free products from over 400 world-renowned brands.
