Shenzhen Bay Port

The Shenzhen Bay Port is located at Dongjiaotou, Shenzhen. It is connected to Hong Kong by the Shenzhen Bay Bridge. Officially opened on July 1, 2007, Shenzhen Bay Port is a modernized and intelligent port authorized by the National People's Congress. It was the first port to implement the new inspection mode of two regions working in one place. The port consists of a cross-boundary passenger terminal building, which Shenzhen Bay Control Point of Hong Kong, a border checkpoint, co-located with its Shenzhen counterpart in the same building.

The port covers 117.9 hectares, of which 76.3 hectares belong to Shenzhen and 41.6 hectares belong to Hong Kong. The building area of the inspection building is 54,000 square meters, including 29,000 square meters in Shenzhen and 27,000 square meters in Hong Kong.

The first floor of Shenzhen Bay Port Inspection Building is an entry hall with 25 manual inspection channels and 25 self-service passages. The second floor is the exit hall with 27 manual inspection channels and 25 self-service passages. The customs and border inspections respectively have set up 17 car channels and two coach channels on the exit and entry inspection passages. The customs inspection set up 27 truck exit passages and 26 truck entry passages, and the border inspection set up 22 truck exit and entry passages.

The port has a capacity of 58,600 vehicles per day and a passenger flow of 60,000 per day. In June 2015, the Shenzhen Bay border checkpoint upgraded the entry and exit passages of the inspection hall by adding self-service passages especially for school children.
