Magic forsythia blooms in Yicheng county

Terraced fields growing weeping forsythia (Forsythia suspensa) cover wide parts of Yicheng county, Shanxi province. Terraced fields are dotted with weeping forsythia in Yicheng county, Shanxi province. The annual output of the plant exceeds 60,000 tons. It brings the county a number of  economic benefits, after being dried and sold to large and medium-sized pharmaceutical factories. Yicheng county has been developing its weeping forsythia sector as its pillar industry for its poverty alleviation program since 2015 -- and it set a goal of planting over 133 sq km of forsythia in eight years.
