On March 25 local time, a delegation from Southwest China's Guizhou province visited Morocco to participate in discussions with Saad Eddine El Othmani, Prime Minister of Morocco, on future cooperation.

According to Othmani, China and Morocco established a strategic partnership after a visit to China in 2016 by Moroccan King Mohammed VI. The number of Chinese tourists to Morocco increased five-fold over the next three years, after Morocco introduced a visa-free policy for China.

Morocco values its regional cooperation with Guizhou province and hopes Guizhou to share its experiences in sustainable development, as sustainable development is a key issue in all countries, Othmani added.

The total value of Guizhou-Morocco trade reached $6.12 million in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 103.02 percent. Guizhou tea is one of the province's major exports to Morocco.
