Siemens Vdo Automotive Changchun Co Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary invested by Germany's Siemens Vdo Automotive Technology Co Ltd in Changchun, Jilin province.
The company in Changchun was established in 1995 with a registered capital of 220 million yuan ($32.82 million), with the total investment of 660 million yuan. Located in the Changchun Economic & Technological Development Zone, it covers an area of 125,000 square meters with a staff of 500.
It possesses four advanced production lines with advanced testing equipment. Its main products include automotive electronic control units, sensors, and airbags, providing high quality components for engines, gearboxes, and the body safety system of cars. Among them, its electronic control units of airbags occupies more than 40 percent of the domestic market share.
