The Latin America Integrated Bonded Logistics Hub was instituted at the Gaolan Port Building on March 15. It provides all-rounded services for inbound agricultural, animal husbandry, and fishery commodities along with outbound manufactured products.

The hub in the National Zhuhai Economic & Technological Development Area (Gaolan Port Economic Zone) is compartmentalized into warehousing and logistics, processing and R&D, and trade and finance zones. These target Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia, according to project owner Sino-LAC Supply Chain Co Ltd.

The three-function role is based on the location advantage of Gaolan Port, its policy edge as a national comprehensive bonded zone, and Sino-LAC business resources.

As of last December, the Sino-LAC Holding Group subsidiary had forged partnerships with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Food Supply, Brazilian state governments, and 20 cities and industrial associations. With this network, the company can serve 80,000 Brazilian enterprises intending to expand into the Chinese market.

It is estimated that Sino-LAC foreign trade value could reach 15 billion yuan ($2.23 billion) in the first year of the hub's operation, and achieve an annualized growth rate of 20 percent to 30 percent in ensuing years.

Sino-LAC Holding Group was officially founded in 2018 in Hengqin China-Latin America Economic & Trade Cooperation Park. Formed by business leaders from China and Latin America, it is involved in import and export trade, cross-border e-commerce, cultural tourism, sports cooperation, air transport, commercial real estate, and manufacture.
