Xiangzhou village to be majorly renovated

A signing ceremony for the renovation of Lian'an Village, located in the middle of Gongbei area, Xiangzhou District, was held on March 15.

According to the agreement, a Zhuhai subsidiary of Aoyuan Property Group is responsible for the project, tasked with improving the living environment with updated infrastructure and better sanitation conditions.

Lian'an Village, established 117 years ago, is located south of Mt. Jiangjun and northeast of Gongbei Street. Now home to 750 permanent residents and 4,500 temporary residents, the village has become one of the most densely populated villages in the city. However, the dilapidated state of its infrastructure and facilities has caused safety problems, worrying residents and harming the city's image.

Guo Zining, president and Party secretary of Aoyuan, vowed to improve Zhuhai's reputation by setting an example for the successful urbanization of villages.

Aoyuan Property Group, which specializes in urban renovation, was founded in Guangzhou in 1996. It now operates nationwide in over 100 cities and also cooperates with foreign countries such as Australia and Canada.
