Agricultural Wonder lives up to its name with festival

Zhuhai Agricultural Wonder is bedecked with windmill corridors, hot-air balloons, gigantic cartoon characters, flower blossoms, adorable animals, and even a desert environment during the Multicolor Oil-paper Umbrella Art Festival, which runs through May 5.

Tens of thousands of shiny pinwheels put the scenic spot in a fairyland setting, while the oil-paper umbrella displays add brilliance.

Thrill-seekers can take a hot-air balloon tour high above ground. Spectacular landscapes will come into sight, including vast stretches of Galsang, Mucuna birdwoodiana, and Chinese flowering crab-apple flowers.

Those hunting for novelty cannot miss the desert plantation, which houses pereskia aculeate, Buddha belly plant, snake plant, traveler's palm, aloe, kalanchoe blossfeldiana, sempervivum, and adenium obesum in greenhouses.

Whatever their taste, cartoon fans should be gripped by nostalgia when they see 10-m (10.9-yd) tall inflatables in the shape of Doraemon, Baymax, Minions, Boonie Bears, Kungfu Panda, and Spider-Man in the Cartoon Amusement Park.

Aloof peacocks, endearing rabbits, argute parrots, pigeons, and peppy monkeys also join the party.
