Hanwha Petrochemical (Ningbo) Co Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hanwha Chemical Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Hanwha Group, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises. At the time of its founding it was the largest foreign investment project in Zhejiang province and one of the largest investment projects of Hanwha Group on the Chinese mainland.
Hanwha Chemical has a large ethylene cracking device in South Korea with an annual production capacity of 1.85 million tons and an annual PVC (polyvinyl chloride) production capacity of 600,000 tons. Hanwha Chemical, established in 1965, produces and supplies a large variety of basic chemical raw materials and synthetic resins.
