Xiangfen county hosts show for Longtaitou Festival

The Weifeng Drum has a history dating back over 4,000 years in Linfen and is part of a folk music tradition consisting of an instrumental ensemble of drums, cymbals, gongs and small cymbals. The Tianta Lion Dance performance is staged during a shehuo show in Taosi village, March 8. The Tianta (Heavenly Tower) Lion Dance, which originated during the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, is full of vigor and surprising sudden moves on towering scaffolds.
