Nanning and Liuzhou team up to promote new energy vehicles

Nanning and Liuzhou will join forces to promote new energy vehicles under a memorandum of cooperation signed between the two city governments on March 4.

Wang Xiaodong, Party secretary of Nanning, pointed out that the new energy vehicle industry has promising economic prospects. Not only can it save on costs for car owners, but it can also reduce energy consumption and cut down on emissions.

Liuzhou is an industrial powerhouse and automotive manufacturing hub that plays an important role in the development of new energy vehicles. Nanning called for a win-win cooperation with Liuzhou through enhanced exchanges and resource sharing, said Wang.

As a behemoth of socioeconomic development in Guangxi, Nanning is rich in urban construction and management experience, which Liuzhou can draw lessons from, said Zheng Junkang, Party secretary of Liuzhou.

The two cities will carry out in-depth exchanges on the implementation of national policies regarding new energy vehicles, promote the use of new energy vehicles, and enhance industrial cooperation. This process can then serve as a model for other places throughout Guangxi.
