In addition, achievements were made in education and culture. Cities in Jiangsu such as Suzhou, Changzhou and Zhenjiang have carried out deep cooperation with Baden-Württemberg in areas including academic academies, scientific research, education, and training.

In 2012, Baden-Württemberg and Suzhou established a brand-new comprehensive platform for communication and cooperation, which has boosted the development of mutual cooperation coordination.

Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), one of the biggest scientific research institutions in Europe, set up a KIT China Branch in Suzhou Industrial Park in May 2014 to offer services in improving the supply chain.

The German vocational education system has been introduced in Changzhou Science and Education Town since October 2012, aiming to turn the town into a cooperation demonstration base for vocational education in Jiangsu.

Li Kanzhen, director of Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission, said that Baden-Württemberg and Jiangsu would carry out communication and promotion in areas such as new energy automobiles, artificial intelligence, environmental protection technology, and smart manufacturing.

Li added that companies from Baden-Württemberg were invited to participate in the innovation event to be held in Nanjing this June to bring the innovation cooperation level between the two areas to a new height.
