Cha Meiren Scenic Area

Cha Meiren ("tea beauty" in Chinese) Scenic Area is located at the foot of Daxian Peak, which rises 1,553 meters, in Datian county in Sanming. With a tea planting history of more than 1,000 years, Datian is renowned as the "hometown of high mountain tea in China" and the "most beautiful tea county in China".

The scenic area, of which the maximum elevation reaches 1,108 meters, was the first eco-friendly scenic area themed on high mountain tea in China. Hundreds of cherry trees are planted over the hillsides and along the roadsides.
