Retail expo on track for Changchun

The 2019 (North) China new retail industry expo will be held at Changchun Conference and Exhibition Center from May 24 to 26 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local authorities.

With a focus on the latest technologies, new forms of retail and modern living, the event will be directed by the local municipal government and supported by the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province. It will be hosted by the city's council for the promotion of international trade.

Covering a total exhibition area measuring 30,000 square meters, the expo will have 10 areas, showcasing companies and new technologies supporting the emerging new retail sector.

During the event, an awards ceremony will be held to honor the best new retail platforms, and attendees will be able to witness a launch ceremony for a new national retail alliance. Marketing competitions are also expected to be held.

The expo is the first one held in North China to highlight new retail and it is expected to promote the upgrading of traditional industries and boost entrepreneurship in the area.
