In 2019, Guangxi will allocate 62.82 billion yuan ($9.34) to 32 livelihood projects divided into 10 categories, including social security, health, education, water conservancy, housing, agriculture, ecology, culture, poverty relief, and science and technology.
The region plans to pay part of the social security funds for eligible residents who struggle to take part in the national social security program. A total of 10.5 million rural households will be provided with housing insurance.
About 1 million students receiving nine-year compulsory education in contiguous poverty-stricken areas will be granted meal subsidies, and about 450,000 million secondary vocational school students will be exempted from tuition
Sixty kilometers of river embankments will also be restored. The government will allocate funds for 72.54 million mu (4.8 hectare) of State-level non-commercial forests and 9.07 million mu of autonomous-region-level non-commercial forests.
Guangxi will also build 800 public service centers, 160 basketball courts, and 2,250 children's activity centers throughout the region.
