Middle School Affiliated to Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology

The Middle School Affiliated to Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology is affiliated to Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology. Founded in 1979, it is located in the south of the university campus and has a good humanistic environment and a strong cultural atmosphere. It is a provincial and municipal standardized middle school. Currently, it has two campuses and 99 classes, with more than 4,000 students and nearly 400 faculty members.

The campus covers an area of 9,400 square meters, with a building area of 11,587 square meters, a campus greening area of 1,543 square meters and two canteens. It has two laboratories each for physics, chemistry and biology, two microcomputer rooms and a large electrical classroom, which all meet the national first class standards. The school has one library with 41,905 books, 11 pieces of electronic reading equipment, 120 GB of electronic books, and nearly 200 kinds of newspapers and magazines. Each classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia electronic touch-screen blackboards. The school has established a 600 square meter science and technology activity center, and is the training base for Shaanxi province’s teenager computer robot competition.

The school boasts teachers’ structure optimization, consummate professionalism, innovation, and vitality. There is one special-grade teacher, 151 graduate students, six provincial teaching experts, 27 municipal discipline leaders, backbone teachers and teaching experts, and 65 or more district-level teaching experts. Ninety-five percent of the teachers have senior and middle-level professional titles. There are first-class teachers in all disciplines are influential in the province and its cities and districts.

The school often hosts educational delegations from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and other countries and regions. It has sent students to Canada and Japan for study and exchange activities many times. Mutual recognition agreements have been signed with many elite high schools in Washington State in the US to offer an elite international program with dual Chinese and US high school diplomas.
