On Jan 27 and 28, Huangguoshu Waterfall, a national 5A tourist attraction in Southwest China's Guizhou province, appeared on the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York as the background of an advertisement wishing a happy new year to Chinese people around the world.

The promotion was meant to share Guizhou's beauty with the world. By choosing Times Square, the "crossroads of the world", the advertisement was expected to be effective in both promoting the natural scenery of Guizhou, and allowing people from Guizhou living around the world to witness the latest developments in their home province.

Located in Anshun city, the 77.8 meter-high and 101 meter-wide waterfall is the largest in Asia. Huangguoshu National Park, built around the waterfall, consists of 18 bodies of water and a wide range of natural scenery.

The waterfall is named after a special plant species in the region and is a must-see attraction in Guizhou. Tourists can even journey into a cave behind the waterfall.

Unique karst landscapes endow Anshun with strong tourism appeal. About 30 kilometers from the Huangguoshu Water is Loong Palace, a scenic spot consisting of karst landscapes, China's largest karst caves, and the lowest natural radiation levels in the world.

In addition, Anshun's ethnic culture, natural environment, human landscapes, and delicious food make the city a charming place to visit. Anshun hopes more tourists will come discover the city in the future.
