Celebrating Spring Festival in Shenyang Imperial Palace is a traditional cultural activity since its first celebrations in the Spring Festival of 2005. Thousands of people visit the palace for a "trip through time" and immerse themselves in an imperial experience by taking in a Qing Dynasty dramatic performance, peruse the Spring Festival antiquities on display, and enjoying the holiday themed couplets calligraphy exhibition. Visitors can also have an interactive experience by taking part in traditional activities, such as making wood engravings, paper cutting and a sugar sculpture.
