During the thirteenth Five-Year Plan (2016-20), the zone will focus on a city-industry integration development strategy, aiming to set up a national innovative science park with strong capability in independent innovation, sustainable development, regional radiation and international competitiveness.
In the first half of 2017, the zone realized 2.71 billion yuan ($400 million) in its regional GDP, a growth of 8 percent; the fixed-asset investment and total retail sales of consumer goods hit 3.71 billion and 806 million yuan, up 31.9 percent and 11.1 percent year-on-year respectively.
