Four prestigious universities from Jiangsu province recently released their graduate student employment reports.
The employment rate of the 7,970 graduates of Nanjing University this year reached 98.49 percent, mainly covering areas of data transmission, software, education, finance, scientific research, and social work.
They realized an average annual income of 144,100 yuan, with most of them working in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Beijing.
Apart from engaging in the job market, a lot of graduates chose to further their education overseas, with 584 of them continuing their studies at the top 100 of QS World University Rankings.
1,402 of the 7,943 graduates of Southeast University this year joined the groups of various world leading companies in the fields of manufacturing, architecture, education, scientific research, and technological service.
Some 37.86 percent of the undergraduates decided to further their education after graduation, while most of the master's and doctoral students chose to enter the job market.
The Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, with expertise in engineering, saw its graduates showing preferences for, aside from the economic hubs of the Yangtze River Delta region and cities like Beijing and Shenzhen, national defense and scientific and technological clusters of Xi'an and Chengdu.
Most of the graduates engaged in national defense and civil aviation companies. Active figures were also seen at various private enterprises and emerging industries.
Nanjing University of Science and Technology realized the highest employment rate of 98.73 percent among the above institutions. Graduates preferred the industries of new energy vehicles, new materials, high-end equipment, information technology and software.
Its graduates showed loyalty to their employers, who expressed much satisfaction to their knowledge, competence and other related capabilities.
